Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says it was a great point after Leeds twice came from behind to salvage a point at Brighton.

Warnock felt his players never gave in and deserved a point against a good Brighton side. Speaking on Sky Sports, Warnock said, “All credit to the lads, we never gave in. We were behind twice against a very strong Brighton.

“I thought we did ever so well near the end and stuck at it. It was a great point for us and a fabulous game.”

Leeds goalkeeper Paddy Kenny played a huge part in Leeds returning to Yorkshire with a point.

The goalkeeper saved a Craig Mackail-Smith penalty with fifteen minutes remaining and pulled off another reaction save from Andrew Crofts deep into stoppage time.

Warnock was full of praise for his keeper. “I think he is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League let alone the Championship,” added Warnock.

Kenny could do little about the Brighton opener, also from the penalty spot, when Mackail-Smith drilled the ball down the middle of the goal.

El Hadji Diouf equalised for Leeds before half time, when he netted from the spot against the run of play.

Mackail-Smith fired Brighton ahead for a second time early in the second half before a Michael Brown strike from the edge of the area took a deflection off Luciano Becchio to earn Leeds the point.
