Leeds United boss Neil Warnock was disappointed with the attacking players after letting a one goal lead slip at Blackpool in the final fifteen minutes.

Leeds had led through a goal on sixteen minutes from defender Tom Lees but after looking like they had soaked up the Blackpool pressure, two goals from the Blackpool substitutes in the space of five minutes undid all Leeds hard work.

Leeds were undone with two similar goals with Blackpool getting in behind young full back Sam Byram for both goals but Warnock was more critical of the attacking players in the squad.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, ,em>”I thought the front four were poor tonight, and I have told them. They need to hold the ball up more away from home.

“As good as they were against Wolves on Saturday I thought they were poor tonight.

If you cannot hold the ball up you are always going to struggle away from home and we did not do it at all.”,/em>

Leeds have had a shocking record away from home since winning promotion to the championship in 2010 and much of the bad form was put down to the players fitness but Warnock says the defeat was not down to this but bad habits with experienced player Luke Varney coming in for the most criticism. “Fatigue doesn`t stop Luke Varney from whacking it away, instead of turning round and dribbling in his own box. That is just bad habits and at this level, you get punished.

“All the hard work we had done went. It could be someone else next week but let`s hope they have learnt from the mistake.

“I was disappointed also with Ross, Becchio and Aidy tonight,”
added Warnock.

Leeds will now be hoping to put things right when they travel to Peterborough United on Saturday.
