Leeds United boss Simon Grayson remains positive despite another poor result this weekend.

He looked on from the touchline as his side threw in the towel after going one down and allowed Swindon to jump them in the table and move into the second automatic promotion spot with a comfortable 3-0 win.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, ‘We are not out of the race for automatic promotion and we have players capable of winning seven games in a row to get us there. We have to get back to doing the things that got us to the top before this bad run.’

Unfortunately it sounds like the same spiel that he`s come out with after every other poor result this year and the man who could do no wrong during his first twelve month`s with the club which culminated in the win at Manchester United is facing the toughest challenge of his sixteen month reign.

The problem at the moment is that his Leeds players look incapable of scoring let alone claiming seven wins and they have now gone 385 minutes without a goal.

In the first fourty minutes Leeds looked more than up for the fight but were showing a lack of confidence in front of goal and nervousness in defending.

Too many players have gone missing since the turn of the year, yet still manage to be included in the starting line up for the next game.

A return of just 15 points from 16 games in 2010 as seen the club throw away an eight-point lead at the top of the table and fans beginning to concentrate on the clubs below them in sixth and seventh spot rather than the one currently occupying second.

Leeds fans were quick to voice their opinions and booed the side of at the end of the game, this was followed with disgruntled fan after disgruntled fan ringing the local radio phone in with Eddie Gray on the way home.

Leeds now have less than 48 hours to right the wrongs of Saturday when they travel to Yeovil. Another defeat will almost certainly end any hopes of claiming second place and the possibility of missing the play offs altogether will become more of a reality.

Time for the players to stand up and be counted and realise what wearing the Leeds shirt is all about again.
