Leeds United youngster Charlie Taylor has won the LFE 2010/11 Goal of the season for his goal against Newcastle United in April.

The goal was on a short list of six from previous goal of the month winners from football across Youth Alliance and Academy leagues.

Taylor pulled clear to win by 559 votes with a little help from Vital Leeds, after we published an article over the weekend asking for support from Leeds fans with the poll very close at the time.

The defender had already picked up the goal of the month for April after his superb strike in the 6-3 win over Newcastle.

Finishing order

1. Charlie Taylor – Leeds 2,621 votes

2. Tosin Olufemi – Colchester United 2,062 votes
3. Booby Reid – Bristol City 1,027 votes
4. Frankie Raymond – Reading 567 votes
5. Joe Turley – Cheltenham Town 346 votes
6. Josh Parsons – Swindon Town 30 votes

It caps a fantastic season for the Leeds United youngster who recently signed a three year deal at Elland Road.
