Leeds United striker Caleb Ekuban is facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines after fracturing his foot for a second time this season.

Ekuban, who suffered a fractured foot at Sunderland back in August, had only recently returned to the squad when he suffered another fracture in the win at Queens Park Rangers last weekend.

The Ghanaian striker will not require surgery but he is facing six weeks on the sidelines.

Leeds head coach Thomas Christiansen spoke to the Leeds official website after the 1-0 win against Norwich City today.

“Caleb has been very unlucky to pick up this injury however he does not require surgery which will make the process quicker than we first thought.”

Leeds will hope to welcome fellow striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga back into the squad for the busy festive period after he returned to full training earlier this week. Lasogga hasn`t featured since Leeds returned from the international break. After missing the win against Middlesbrough through illness, Lasogga has been sidelined with a calf injury, forcing him to miss six games in total.
