Leeds United coach Glynn Snodin was a happy man after their behind closed doors draw with Sheffield United.

The game gave Snodin a chance to see a lot of Leeds fringe players getting 90 minutes under their belt in a competitive game.

Andy Hughes returned from injury in the game and will now be hoping for a recall in Saturday`s game at Crewe with regular right back Frazer Richardson still injured.

Also getting a game was David Prutton, Bradley Johnson and trialist Darren Powell in what was described has a very competitive match.

Snodin was impressed with new loan striker Liam Dickinson who was making his first start in a Leeds shirt, Dickinson scored Leeds only goal in the 1-1 draw.

Speaking about Dickinson on the official website Snodin said “He`s tall and makes himself a nuisance and as you saw on Tuesday he can finish”.

Dickinson played 65 minutes of the match before being substituted and will now be pushing for a starting place on Saturday with leading scorer Jermaine Beckford suspended.
