Leeds United midfielder Robert Snodgrass says they have to roll their sleeves up and stand up and be counted for the remainder of the season.
Leeds have picked up seven points from a possible nine points so far in 2012 but their performances have been far from convincing.
In all three games, Leeds have had to come from behind to claim points, largely due to the opposition being reduced to ten men.
Snodgrass is now hoping that the team can put things right ahead of the game with Birmingham, with a ten-day break following the win over Ipswich Town last Saturday.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Snodgrass said, “We need to roll our sleeves up and stand up and be counted, it is as simple as that.
“I have said it before, nobody is going to give you a football match, and nobody is going to give you three points. It is up to us as footballers, as men, as a team to put things right.”
Snodgrass has recently returned to the side after undergoing surgery on his appendix over the festive period, forcing him to miss three games.
He scored in his return, when he came off the bench to equalise against Crystal Palace and earn Leeds a point.
Snodgrass scored his tenth goal of the season on Saturday, when he once again equalised in the game with Ipswich, a game Leeds went on to win 3-1.
The win sees Leeds move back up to ninth in the championship and they are now just three points behind fourth placed Middlesbrough and still only eight points behind Southampton in the final automatic promotion place.
Leeds will be hoping to continue with their recent run of good results when they welcome fellow promotion hopefuls Birmingham City to Elland Road on Tuesday.
Birmingham are on a good run of form and are currently unbeaten in their last six games, including scoring nine goals in their last two games.
Leeds will be hoping for a bit of revenge over Birmingham on Tuesday having lost the game 1-0 at St Andrews in October.
With nineteen games remaining, Leeds will need at least ten wins to have any chance of making at least the play off places.
