Leeds United midfielder Robert Snodgrass came off the bench to win his first cap for Scotland in the nations cup win over Northern Ireland.

Snodgrass came off the bench in the 57th minute and he was quickly into the action when his left foot shot just cleared the bar.

The tricky winger continued to cause Ireland problems and he put another effort just wide of the post.

The 23 year old follows a long line of Leeds players to represent Scotland whilst at Elland Road.

Billy Bremner, Bobby Collins, Peter Lorimer, Eddie and Frank Gray, Joe Jordan, Gordon McQueen, Gordon Strachan and Gary McAllister are amongst those to have played for Scotland whilst at Leeds.

Scotland won the game 3-0 thanks to strikes from Kenny Miller, James McArthur and Kris Commons.
