Simon Grayson is pleased with the progress being made by his injured duo Robert Snodgrass and Billy Paynter.

Both players have been on the sidelines since suffering injury during pre season.

Paynter, who only signed for the club during the summer suffered a shin injury during the game against MFK Kosice in Slovakia, a game in which he scored his first goal for the club.

Snodgrass was the victim of a crude challenge in the game against SK Brann in Norway where he had to be stretchered off with a leg injury.

Leeds boss, Simon Grayson, speaking on the official website said, “They are both back doing some running now and hopefully we can get them doing some football work in the not too distant future.”

With Leeds having no game this weekend due to internationals, it gives the players more time to recover. Grayson will be looking for the duo to improve their fitness having missed a large chunk of pre season and will be lining them both up for a return for the reserves in the near future.

With Ben Parker also nearing a return it leaves just Patrick Kisnorbo on the sidelines with a long term injury.

The Australian international is still making progress from the Achilles injury he suffered in the game with Millwall in March, which forced him to not only; miss the remainder of the season but also the World Cup in Africa.
