LUFC Silly season already in full flow

It has only been one week since the season finished but we are already well and truly into silly season with Leeds being linked with a number of players as well as those going out the door.

The players that I have so far read could be making the move to Elland Road are nearly all midfielders.

Keith Southern the Blackpool midfielder was linked with Leeds during the January transfer window and he is once again being linked with a move to Elland Road.

Probably a surprise name is former midfielder Lee Bowyer who is out of contract at Birmingham City at the end of the season.

Victor Paisson is currently with Scottish Premier League side Hibernian. The midfielder joined the Scottish side in January from Liverpool and Leeds and Southampton are rumoured to be chasing his signature.

Ipswich midfielder David Norris is another midfielder to be linked with Leeds supposedly facing competition from Hull City.

Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is rumoured to be on Leeds radar from Coventry City.

The shot stopper is out of contract at the Ricoh so would certainly fit the Leeds bill.

Coming in
Keith Southern – Blackpool
Lee Bowyer – Birmingham
Victor Paisson – Hibernian
David Norris – Ipswich Town
Keiren Westwood – Coventry City

The two names making the most headlines rumoured to be leaving Leeds are the out of contract duo Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny.

Johnson is being linked with a number of Premier League sides as well as fellow Championship club Hull City.

Kilkenny is being linked with Premier League side Stoke City as well as fellow Championship sides Leicester City and Doncaster Rovers.

Kasper Schmeichel is being linked with a move to his dad`s old club across the Pennines.

Max Gradel is sure to get lots of column space in the papers this summer and German side HSV Hamburg are already rumoured to be offering £2 million for last season`s player of the season.

Finally, Robert Snodgrass is being linked with Premier League side West Brom.

I am sure there have been many many more that I have not noticed during the first week of the close season.

If you hear of any then please post them on the Vital Leeds forum.

Going out
Kasper Schmeichel – Manchester United
Max Gradel – Hamburg
Neil Kilkenny – Stoke, Leicester and Doncaster Rovers
Bradley Johnson – Aston Villa, Wigan, Stoke, West Brom, Bolton and Hull City
Robert Snodgrass – West Brom
