Vital Leeds looks at the head to head record between Sheffield United and Leeds United at Bramall Lane through the years.

The two sides have met on 39 occasions with Sheffield United winning 18, Leeds 9 and 12 draws.

The first ever meeting between the two sides was during the 1924/25 season when it finished 1-1.

Sheffield United won the next encounter during the 1925/26 season 2-0 and Leeds had to wait until the 1949/50 season when they won 1-0. It was their eleventh visit to Bramall Lane.

Leeds have failed to win on their last six visits to Sheffield, drawing two and losing four.

Their last victory at Bramall Lane was probably their most famous when Rod Wallace, Jon Newsome and a Brian Gayle own goal secured a 3-2 win.

Hours later, Leeds were crowned Champions of England after Liverpool beat Manchester United at Anfield.
