Alan Sheehan will serve a three match ban for his reckless challenge that saw him sent off as early as the ninth minute on Saturday against Swindon Town.
The FA have confirmed that the sending off was for serious foul play and that constitutes an automatic three match ban.
It`s the second time Sheehan has been sent off for a reckless challenge in his last six games for the club.
Boss McAllister was quick to condone the tackle on Saturday night, speaking on the official website he said “I`ve seen it re run and it`s a red card, I`ve got no complaints. He won the ball, but his two feet are off the ground”
The defender will now miss Saturday`s trip to Carlisle and the home games against Hartlepool in the Carling Cup and Hereford in the League.
Andy Hughes did a great job of dropping back into the left back position on Saturday; also an option is young Aiden White who has come through the team`s academy system, he`s already made two impressive appearances this season, making his debut against Crystal Palace in the 4-0 Carling Cup victory.
Gary McAllister indicated that White may get the nod, when speaking on the Leeds official website he said “I`ve got a decent little left back who can come in and look after that slot”
