Federico Bessone is to be given a second chance to prove his worth to Leeds boss Simon Grayson after a disastrous first season at Elland Road.

The 27 year old signed for Leeds in a three-year deal last summer from Swansea City.

Bessone started the first eight games last season before poor form and injury saw him disappear off the scene at Elland Road.

The Argentinian was then loaned out to League One side Charlton Athletic where he made thirteen appearances for the Addicks.

Grayson transfer listed Bessone at the end of last season, but he is now ready to give him a second chance. Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Grayson said, “We said at the end of last season that everyone comes back here with a clean slate and a fresh start.”

Mike Grella was also transfer listed at the end of last season after making just two substitute appearances last season.

The American had loan spells at Carlisle United and Swindon Town but infuriated the Leeds boss when he cut his loan spell at Swindon short after finding himself on the substitute`s bench.

Grella is also back in pre season training with Leeds and will be hoping to work his way back into the plans of Grayson.
