We continue our look back at last season and we now enter November with Leeds having a seven point cushion at the top of League One.

It was a strange month that saw Leeds involved in five games but only two of them came in League One.

Young goalkeeper Alan Martin earns a call up to the Scotland under-21 squad for their European Championship qualifier in Azerbaijan, this is despite still not featuring in Leeds first team.

Jermaine Beckford keeps up Leeds record of taking the League One PFA Fans player of the month for October after Snodgrass won it in August and September.

Leeds trip to Swindon Town later in the month is called off after the club have three players called up for international duty.

Rui Marques (Angola) and Patrick Kisnorbo (Australia) join Alan Martin to be called up for their country.

They started the month by making history alongside Oldham Athletic as the first two sides to be shown live via the internet in the FA Cup.

The FA website was showing the game live and Leeds ran out easy winners with goals from Jon Howson and Mike Grella ensuring their passage to the second round.

Leeds victory at Oldham sets up a second round clash at non-league Kettering Town.

The game is quickly chosen for live TV coverage by ITV on the Sunday lunchtime.

Leeds ease into the Northern Area semi finals of the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy with a 3-1 victory over Grimsby Town.

An own goal, Neil Kilkenny strike and a goal from Jermaine Beckford prove to much for the Mariners who score the goal of the game by former Leeds midfielder Peter Sweeney.

Goalkeeper Shane Higgs signs a new contract with the club after an impressive start to the summer, keeping him with the whites until the summer of 2011.

Max Gradel who has enjoyed a successful first month on loan at Elland Road extends the deal until the first week of January.

Leeds are drawn against Accrington Stanley at home in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy.

Former Leeds assistant manager Gus Poyet marks his first home game in charge of Brighton against the whites but the side show no sentiment with a comprehensive 3-0 win thanks to goals from Snodgrass, Beckford and Kilkenny.

Leeds are in league action again next time out and leave it until the final minute before overcoming a dogged Leyton Orient.

Substitute Max Gradel scores the all-important goal with a sweet left foot strike.

Three players find themselves going out on loan, young defender Andrew Milne joins Darlington and fellow defender Alan Sheehan teams up with former whites David Lucas and Jonathan Douglas at Swindon Town up to the beginning of January.
Also going out is striker Davide Somma who joins Chesterfield.

On a busy day in the deadline day in the loan transfer window, Leeds bring in three players, midfielder Hogan Ephraim joins from QPR, defender Tony Capaldi from Cardiff City and goalkeeper David Martin from Liverpool all until the New Year.

Leeds are almost the victims once again in an FA Cup giant killing act. Despite dominating, they fall behind half way through the second half. Jermaine Beckford spares Leeds blushes with an equaliser with just thirteen minutes remaining and a replay at Elland Road.

The draw for the third round shortly after the final whistle sets up the possibility of a mouth-watering clash at old rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

With Manchester United awaiting the winners, ITV again choose Leeds for FA Cup live coverage when they announce they will be showing the replay against Kettering on ITV4.

Despite only playing two league games during the month Leeds remain six points clear of their nearest rivals Charlton Athletic and have a game in hand.

Next week we shall take a look at December when Leeds enjoy another decent month where they remain unbeaten.

The cracks are beginning to appear, especially when Jermaine Beckford throws all his toys out of the pram when substituted against Southampton.
