We continue our look back at last season and we now enter November when Leeds started to climb up the table.

Leeds had finished October with a much needed win at Scunthorpe and they started November where they left off with a win at in form Coventry City.

John Howson continued where he left off at Scunthorpe by firing Leeds ahead inside five minutes.

A superb strike from Robert Snodgrass doubled the lead before half time.

Despite a wobble in the second half, Max Gradel scored from the penalty spot as Leeds eventually won 3-2.

Davide Somma`s early season form was rewarded when the South African signed a new three-year deal.

Leeds indifferent home form was again evident when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Hull City.

Goals from Bradley Johnson and Andy O`Brien gave Leeds the lead after falling behind but Johnson put through his own goal late on to deny Leeds all three points.

Max Gradel was rewarded for his good recent form when he earned his first call up to the Ivory Coast national squad.

Leeds were at home again on the Saturday against Bristol City and were frustrated for an hour by their west country opposition.

The game changed when Leeds introduced Luciano Becchio from the bench and the Argentinian fired an hat trick in just over fifteen minutes as Leeds ran out 3-1 winners.

The win lifted Leeds back into the play off positions, for the first time since early September.

Goalkeepers Ben Alnwick and Jason Brown returned to their parent clubs after loan spells at Elland Road with Kasper Schmeichel and Shane Higgs back to full fitness.

Mike Grella extended his loan spell at Carlisle United after a successful first month at Brunton Park.

Bradley Johnson is placed on the transfer list after turning down the offer of a new deal at Elland Road.

The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and looks to be heading out on a free unless Leeds sell him in January.

Aidy White is another player on his way out of Elland Road as he joins League One side Oldham Athletic on loan.

The fringe players are busily leaving Leeds as Adam Clayton joins League One side Peterborough United on loan.

Leeds reacquaint themselves with last seasons League One champions Norwich City.

Max Gradel continues his good form when he fires Leeds into the lead but a controversial equaliser after Kasper Schmeichel looks like he is fouled following a corner, earns Norwich a point at Carrow Road.

Andy O`Brien extends his loan spell from Bolton Wanderers until the end of the year after an impressive first month.

Leeds hold out for a point in a goalless draw at Reading, with the home side putting Leeds under increasing pressure in the final minutes.

The FA Cup third round draw gives Leeds another glamour tie.

After the heroics against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur last season, Leeds once again face one of the Premierships top sides as they are given an away trip to Arsenal.

Leeds finishes the month in seventh place in the Championship with just three points separating fourth and tenth place.

Next week we will be looking back at December, when Leeds show their credentials with an impressive win against runaway leaders Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road.
