Leeds United were denied their first ever Grand Master Final victory by Glasgow Rangers.

Rangers overwhelmed Leeds 8-3 in the final with the Leeds side looking tired after playing in three of the last four games of the evening.

Leeds started their pursuit of success with a 6-4 win over Liverpool in the quarter finals.

Clyde Wijnhard was the Leeds hero with a hat trick, with Jamie Forrester, Darren Huckerby and an own goal completing the Leeds scoring.

Leeds came up against old adversaries Manchester United in the semi finals and ran out easy 3-0 winners thanks to a Darren Huckerby hat trick.

The semi final win seemed to take it out on Leeds who were back on the pitch soon afterwards for the final with Rangers.

Rangers ran into a 3-0 lead before goals from Huckerby and Forrester gave Leeds some hope.

With Leeds leaving gaps at the back, Rangers picked off the goals with player of the tournament Michael Mols netting a hat trick.

Darren Huckerby had the consolation of winning the golden boot for the tournament after netting 14 times in the regional heats and the finals.
