On loan Leeds United midfielder Danny Pugh can see a great future for team mate Aidy White.

The pair have struck up a good partnership and understanding since Pugh`s arrival from Stoke City in September.

White has impressed Pugh since his arrival and he can see a great future for the 20-year-old player who has come through the Leeds United academy.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Pugh said, “He`s going to be a top-top player. The last few games he has been fantastic. Defensively he is solid and he has the attribute of being very good going forward as well. He has done brilliantly and if he keeps going the way he is he will do very well.
“We are both comfortable player left back or left midfield, so we fit quite easily. If he wants to bomb on I can sit in or visa-versa, so it works well.”

White has grasped his opportunity in the Leeds side this season after spending much of last season on loan at Oldham Athletic.

He has been an almost ever present in the side since his first game of the season against Hull City in August. He has missed just the one game through suspension following his sending off in the game at Ipswich Town.

White has also broken into the Republic of Ireland under 21 team this season and he has played in all four of their internationals so far since making his debut in August.

Pugh is currently on loan to Leeds until the New Year when it is expected that he will sign for Leeds on a full time basis.
