Leeds United boss Simon Grayson will check the fitness of trio Luciano Becchio, Andy O`Brien and Eric Lichaj ahead of the game at Preston on Tuesday.

All three picked up knocks in Saturday`s 5-2 victory over Doncaster Rovers and will be checked on Tuesday ahead of the trip to Lancashire.

Grayson is boosted by the loan signing of Barry Bannan from Aston Villa and he will go straight into the squad.

Both Paul Connolly and Lloyd Sam returned for the reserves on Monday afternoon, played an hour, and will be pushing for a recall.

Patrick Kisnorbo is the only long-term absentee, the defender as been on the sidelines for twelve months after suffering an Achilles injury that required surgery.

Preston manager Phil Brown has a number of players carrying knocks after the weekend.

Missing on Saturday was goalkeeper Andy Lonergan and defender Craig Morgan with a stomach bug.

Nathan Ellington, Leon Cort, David Gray, Sean St Ledger, Billy Jones and Barry Nicholson all picked up knocks and Brown is expected to wait until Tuesday before making a decision on the fitness of the players.

18-year-old defender Bailey Wright came off the bench to make his debut on Saturday and he may make his first start.

Chris Brown could be pushing for a start in attack after he scored after coming off the bench at Norwich on Saturday.
