Leeds Christmas home fixture with Portsmouth is heading for a sell out as tickets are selling fast.

The game takes place on December 28th and Leeds have less than 1,600 tickets remaining for the home areas of the ground and the club have stated that the East Stand upper tier will not be open.

Even without the upper tier being open, the game is going to attract in excess of 30,000 fans to Elland Road.

Almost 30,000 fans turned out for Leeds last home game against Queens Park Rangers, despite it being the last Saturday before Christmas and the freezing cold weather.

Leeds currently have the highest home average in the Championship this season with 25,957 people on average attending games at Elland Road.

They also have the highest attendance in the division so far this season when 33,622 turned out for the home game with Sheffield United in September.
