Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino says he was impressed after meeting with the squad at Elland Road today.

The players were called back early from their summer break to have one-to-one to meetings with Cellino and he admitted he was impressed by the players during the meeting.

Speaking on the official website , Cellino said, “I met all the players on Monday and they showed me that they wanted to stay at the club.

“They work for the club, not Massimo Cellino.

“They showed me respect and a have a fantastic professionalism towards the club.

“We have a better team than we first thought.

“All the players are hungry to be involved in this new project at Leeds United.”


The players will now return to their summer break before returning for pre-season training on June 26th ahead of the new championship season that starts on Saturday August 9th.
