Leeds United will complete the signing of Swindon Town striker Billy Paynter in a three year deal on July 1st.

The 26 year old has agreed the deal and he will join Leeds on a free transfer at the end of his contract at Swindon Town.

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson speaking on the official website said, “He proved his worth last season. He has matured as a player over the last couple of years and he had a fantastic season last season”.

Paynter scored 29 goals in all competitions last season, including four against Leeds as he helped the Wiltshire club to the League One play off final.

The capture of Paynter is the clubs second signing following the arrival of Kasper Schmeichel last week as they build towards the Championship next season.
