Leeds United`s latest recruit Billy Paynter says he couldn`t wait to join the club once he heard they were interested in signing him.
Paynter will join on a three-year contract on July 1st when his contract with Swindon Town expires.
Speaking on the official website, Paynter said, “When Leeds come knocking at your down you don`t turn them away.”
‘As soon as I knew Leeds were interested in me I really wanted to come to the club. It’s just a massive club and to be part of this set up is a privilege.’
The 25 year old enjoyed an exceptional season with the Wiltshire club last season, scoring 29 goals, helping them to the play off final before losing out to Millwall.
