Leeds United have rewarded Patrick Kisnorbo with a new two year deal.

The clubs player of the year in his first season at Elland Road missed fourteen months after suffering an Achilles injury in the home game with Millwall in March 2010.

Kisnorbo made his comeback in the closing minutes of Leeds final game of the season at Queens Park Rangers

The Australian international was out of contract at the end of the season and returned to Elland Road for pre season training in the hope of earning a new deal.

With clubs rumoured to be chasing the free agent, Leeds moved quickly to reward Kisnorbo with a new two-year contract.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson was delighted to reward Kisnorbo with a new contract, speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “We`re delighted to get things finalised with Paddy. He`s had a tough time, but we know what he is all about and what he brings to the team. He is a very important member of our squad.”

Kisnorbo is part of the squad that as travelled up to Scotland for the pre season friendlies Falkirk and Motherwell and he will be hoping for plenty of time on the pitch as he steps up his fitness.
