Patrick Kisnorbo looks set to miss the rest of the season after suffering an Achilles injury inside the first ten minutes of the defeat to Millwall on Monday night.

The Australian also looks set to miss this summers World cup finals in South Africa.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson speaking on the official website said ‘Unfortunately for Paddy he suffered a severe Achilles injury which will rule him out of the rest of the season and possibly the World Cup as well.

‘It’s a shame because he has been outstanding for us all season.

‘He’s been a warrior type, a leader, and I’m gutted for the lad because his dream was to play in the World Cup and that looks like it could have been shattered.’

Kisnorbo left the pitch on a stretcher in tears realising that his season and world cup hopes were probably over.

The former Leicester City defender has probably been Leeds player of the season so far this season and his loss will be a big blow to Leeds promotion chances.
