Despite Leeds United bowing out of the FA Youth cup on Tuesday night at Ipswich Town over 200 Leeds fans made the trip to Portman Road.

Leeds took more to Ipswich than most clubs in the Football League would do to a midweek league game, including Millwall who brought less to Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds youth team coach Neil Redfearn was full of praise for the 200 fans who had made the trip. Speaking on the official website, Redfearn said, “The support was fantastic. To see over 200 there was fantastic.
“It was like playing at Elland Road with the atmosphere they created throughout, so a massive thank-you to everyone who went, it was well received.”

Leeds lost 2-0, after conceding a goal in each half but they would feel unlucky to have lost having created a number of chances.
