Leeds United chairman Ken Bates is still unsure of the futures of out of contract duo Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson.

The duo are both out of contract this summer and Bates is still in talks with the pairs agents.

Whilst Bates thinks there is still a possibility that Johnson could stay he cannot see Kilkenny at Elland Road next season.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post , Bates said, “We`ll be talking to their agents, but I don`t think there`ll be any movement on our side. Kilkenny will probably be moving on and we wish him luck.
“Bradley, I don`t know. He wants to stay at Leeds and the manager would like him to stay at Leeds but not at the kind of money his agent was looking for.”

The midfield duo were both regulars in the starting line up in Leeds first season back in the Championship.

Kilkenny made 37 appearances in the championship last season and he`s made 144 appearances in total since signing from Birmingham City in January 2008.

Johnson, who also joined in January 2008, missed just one game through suspension despite being placed on the transfer list in November after negotiations on a new deal broke down.

The midfielder who signed from Northampton Town has made 140 appearances during his time at Elland Road.

Both have been linked with a number of clubs over the past few months, with Johnson being linked with a move to a number of Premier League clubs.
