Birthdays
*1965 Vinnie Jones (53)
1993 Zac Thompson (25)

*Former Leeds United cult hero Vinnie Jones celebrates his 53rd birthday today. Jones quickly becoming a firm fans favourite after arriving at Elland Road from Wimbledon in the summer of 1989.

The midfielder was instrumental in the Leeds midfield as the side won the Second Division title on the final day of the season.

Jones spent just over twelve months with Leeds but he showed during his time at the club that he could play football. He picked up just two bookings during his time at Elland Road and he was a key figure of the promotion winning side.

His best goal for Leeds was probably the screamer he scored in the home game against Hull City in what was a rollercoaster of a game with Leeds winning it late on 4-3.

You can see his goal against Hull in this clip.
