Leeds start the Premier League season with a 2-0 home win over Everton thanks to two goals from Alan Smith.

Leeds are beaten 1-0 at home by Cardiff City and have picked up just four points from a possible twelve to leave them in 18th place in the early weeks of the new season.

Leeds United duo Shane Higgs and Andy Hughes are included in the weeks League One team of the week for their performances at Wycombe Wanderers where Leeds won 1-0.
