*On this day in 1969, Leeds continued their pursuit of the First Division title with a comprehensive 5-1 win at Stoke City. Billy Bremner (2), Mick O`Grady (2) and Mick Jones were all on target as Leeds made it seven wins in a row. Leeds remained unbeaten between October and the end of the season as they won a first title by six points.

**On this day in 1980, Derek Parlane made his Leeds United debut in the 2-0 win at Southampton following his arrival from Glasgow Rangers.

Parlane marked his debut with the second goal after Paul Hart had given Leeds the lead.
