Premiership referee Mark Halsey will be the man in charge of Boxing Day`s crucial League One clash between Leeds United and Leicester City at Elland Road.

Mr Halsey so far this season has refereed 17 games; in those 17 games that he`s refereed he`s shown 25 yellow cards and 1 red.

His last game in charge was the Premiership game between West Ham and Aston Villa last Saturday.

Last season he refereed only 44 games showing 91 yellow cards and 5 reds.

The last time he was in charge of a Leeds United game was earlier this season when they lost 2-1 at home against Huddersfield Town, a game in which he showed five yellow cards.

The last time he was in charge of a Leicester City game was last season when they won 2-1 at Barnsley, a game in which he showed two yellows.
