Leeds United boss Neil Warnock believes David Norris has been biting at the bit to get back into the side.
The midfielder who joined from Portsmouth in the summer has come off the bench in the last two games having missed the previous six games with a thigh injury.
Norris completed 45 minutes against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night and Warnock says the 31 year old is full of energy. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, “He was biting at the bit to get back in the team and as we saw the other night he is full of energy and he is enjoying himself.”
Norris started five of Leeds first six games despite carrying an injury.
He captained and scored on his debut in the 4-0 win over Shrewsbury Town on the opening weekend of the season in the Capital One League Cup.
Norris will be hoping to start his first game for Leeds since the game with Blackburn Rovers at the beginning of September when they entertain Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night.
