The Chester official has taken charge of 4 games so far this season showing 16 yellow cards and 1 red.

Last season, the Premier League official showed 85 yellow cards and 3 reds in his 31 games.

The 45-year-old has been on the national list since 1997 and he has taken charge of Newcastle on 10 previous occasions with the winning 3, drawing 3 and losing 4.

His last game in charge of the magpies was in April when they drew 1-1 at West Brom.

He has taken charge of Leeds on 11 occasions with them winning 5, drawing 3 and losing 3.

The last time he took charge of Leeds was in March when he awarded them a penalty that clinched the game in the 1-0 home win over Millwall.
