MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is tipping Leeds midfielder Adam Clayton for a bright future at Elland Road.

The midfielder finished the season at MK Dons and helped the side reach the end of season play offs, only to lose in the semi finals to Peterborough United.

Robinson speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, said, I`m sure he`s going to be a massive part of Leeds United`s push to get to the Premiership. He was a credit to Leeds United and I`m sure the kid is going to be a very talented footballer.
“With us in League One, he was one of the better players in this division. People in League One can jump up; look at the players Millwall, Norwich and Leeds had in League One and all had tremendous seasons last year.
“Most leading players from League One can step up and I`m sure Adam can do that as well.”

Clayton made four substitute appearances for Leeds after signing from Manchester City last August.

The 22 year old made eight appearances for MK Dons after joining them in April and scored his only goal in the 3-2 win over Carlisle.

He also had a spell on loan at Peterborough United between November and January, making eight appearances.
