LUFC – Millwall v Leeds preview

Leeds travel to Millwall for the first leg of the Play Off semi final in what is sure to be an electric atmosphere at the Den.

Form

Millwall
The Lions form has been inconsistent recently and they lost their last game of the season at Carlisle United 2-0.

Millwall`s biggest problem after Christmas was their home form whilst their away form was very strong.

This changed towards the end of the season when they won their last three home games against Walsall, Peterborough and Leyton Orient and lost their last three away at Yeovil, Bristol Rovers and Carlisle.

At home over the season they won 13 drew 4 and lost 6.
Away they won 12, drew 3 and lost 8.

Leeds
The Whites finished the season strongly only losing one of their final fourteen games and that was at Champions Leicester City with the last kick of the game.

On the final day of the season Leeds beat Northampton 3-0 to leapfrog Millwall in the table.

Leeds away form was average to say the least before March winning only six games. This improved in the run in with three wins from their last four games.

Away over the season Leeds have won 9, drawn 4 and lost 10.
At home they are one game away from equalling a club record twelve straight wins, over the season they have won 17, drawn 2 and lost 4.

History
The clubs have met eleven times at the old and new Den.

Millwall have the advantage at home with 6 wins to Leeds 3 although this seasons 3-1 victory for the hosts was their first on home soil for five games against Leeds.

Luciano Becchio gave Leeds the lead at the Den earlier in the season just past the half hour, this was short lived at the hosts were in front by the hour thanks to goals from Dave Martin and Neil Harris.
Harris wrapped the game up in the final few minutes with his second of the game.
