Leeds United first team coach Ian Miller is hoping that the squad will be bolstered over the next seven days after admitting the squad is ‘wafer thin`.

Speaking on Radio Leeds, Miller said, “The squad is a bit wafer thin at the moment and hopefully next week we will add to it.
“We`re short in midfield at the moment. I certainly hope we will have some extra numbers next week.”

Leeds were forced to play Michael Brown, who only returned to training on Thursday after three weeks out through injury and Jonny Howson, who was ill and was sick on the pitch during the second half, after a calf injury ruled out Adam Clayton.

17-year-old Charlie Taylor was drafted in at left back with fellow youngster Aidan White out through suspension.

Leeds failed to add to their squad on transfer deadline day but the loan window is now open for Leeds to bolster their squad.

The one area Leeds are not light at the moment is in attack with Luciano Becchio and new signing Mikael Forssell both coming off the bench on Saturday for their first appearances of the season.

Becchio hasn`t played since April and marked his return with the equalising goal.
Forssell also contributed by setting up Ross McCormack for the winner, his sixth goal in eight games this season.

Will we see some new players this week or is it just more flannel from the ‘Irons in the fire, we came so close, player going to sign` Grayson School of waffle that we have got used to hearing.
