Leeds United boss Brian McDermott was full of praise for the fans after watching his side win 4-2 at Charlton Athletic.
Leeds sold out their allocation of over 3,000 tickets for the game within an hour of them going on sale and McDermott likened it to a machine.
Speaking on LUTV, McDermott said,“The fans are a machine, to have support like that, there is no-one better. They were absolutely amazing,
“I have a real pride of both the players and the supporters; it was amazing behind the goal today.
“You try to create camaraderie between the players and the fans and it was there for all to see.
“It was a fantastic game today and I enjoyed every second of it.”
It was looked like being a wasted journey for the fans when the game was in doubt before kick-off after heavy rain had fallen on The Valley pitch all morning.
Referee Keith Stroud held two separate pitch inspections and decided the game could go ahead at 3.30pm.
The pitch was heavy, with the ball not rolling properly, especially on the far side of the pitch and Leeds made the most of the tricky conditions.
Ross McCormack scored his first professional hat-trick as he netted four times in the 4-2 win to send the travelling fans home happy.
