Leeds United boss Brian McDermott says he hopes to sign another player later this week after adding Luke Murphy to his squad today.

Murphy signed a three-year deal from Crewe Alexandra today, to become Leeds second signing of the summer and McDermott says there will be another one coming in later this week.

Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds , McDermott said,“I will bring in another player this week and we are hoping to get the deal done on Wednesday or Thursday.

McDermott has been strongly linked with Reading striker Noel Hunt all summer.

Hunt is now out of contract at the Madejski Stadium and he has returned to the country today after celebrating his honeymoon.

McDermott announced last week that he had a verbal agreement with an unnamed player, whom many believe to be Hunt.
