Leeds United striker Ross McCormack claimed the championships golden boot after finishing the season with 28-goals.

The Scottish international striker finished three goals clear of his international teammate Jordan Rhodes at Blackburn Rovers.

McCormack was the only ever present for Leeds this season as he started all 46-championship games and he also featured in Leeds four cup games this season and he helped himself to two hat-tricks in the wins over Charlton Athletic and Huddersfield Town.

The 28-year-old, who signed a new four-year deal at Elland Road last summer, is the highest scorer in the league for Leeds since John Charles netted 37 goals in the 1956/57 season.

Fellow Leeds striker Matt Smith finished in tied 21st after netting his 12th league goal of the season on Saturday.
