Leeds United have agreed an undisclosed fee with fellow Championship side Cardiff City for striker Ross McCormack.

The deal now hinges on the Scottish international agreeing personal terms and passing a medical with Leeds.

McCormack celebrated his 24th birthday last week and has represented Scotland at under 21, B and full level.

He started his career at Glasgow Rangers where he scored on his European debut in the 1-1 Champions League draw with Porto

He enjoyed a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers before joining Motherwell in 2006.

He moved south to join Cardiff City in 2008 and in his first full season, he scored 23 goals in 44 appearances.

Last season he struggled to repeat that form and spent half of the season on the bench.

This season he`s made three substitute appearances and scored two goals, they both came in the Carling Cup first round win over Burton Albion.
