Ross McCormack is happy with the start he has made to the season but still feels he`s not at the top of his game.

The striker has netted nine times in eleven games already this season in all competitions and he is also feel full of confidence, something he believes is a big thing.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post , McCormack said, “On a personal note, the season is going well for me. In pre-season, everyone was on at me saying: ‘Well, he`s missed two penalties` and saying he`s done this and that. I never score in pre-season and the gaffer knew that as well.
“Pre-season is about getting fit and I got fit and I`ve started the season well and I`ve just got to keep it going. I feel confident and that`s a big thing.
“I wouldn`t say I feel at the top of my game yet. In terms of the basics, the ball is coming up, I`m taking a touch and turning and giving it away stupidly (sometimes). But that will come and I`ve no problems with that at the minute.”

The Scottish international made a slow start to his Leeds career after signing from Cardiff City at the start of last season.

McCormack had to wait until his twentieth appearance in a Leeds shirt before scoring his first goal for the club in the penultimate game of last season against Burnley.

He followed that up with the winning goal in the clubs final game of the season the following weekend at champions Queens Park Rangers.

McCormack has now scored eleven goals in his last thirteen games for Leeds and is currently the leading goalscorer in the championship.
