Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says strike duo Ross McCormack and Davide Somma will step up their training next week as the pair move closer to a return to first team action.
Both have been missing for most of this season and Warnock says the duo are closing in on a return.
Speaking on LUTV, Warnock said, “McCormack is doing some light work with the younger lads and I think he will step up training next week and David Somma is the same.”
Last season`s leading goalscorer Ross McCormack hasn`t featured since chipping a bone in his ankle in the game at Cardiff City in September.
The injury has seen him miss the last eleven games.
Somma hasn`t featured for Leeds since the final day of the 2010/11 season at Queens Park Rangers.
The South African international suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury the following pre-season that has seen him sidelined since.
The duo returning to full fitness will be a welcome boost to Warnock who is desperate for options in attack.
