Leeds United have extended the loan of George McCartney from Sunderland for a further month.
McCartney has enjoyed a successful first month at Elland Road making six first team appearances in total.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson was keen to keep the Northern Ireland international for as long as possible, speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “We were keen for George to stay with us for a longer period and I`d like to thank Steve Bruce at Sunderland for agreeing to that.”
The extra month also gives left back Ben Parker longer to return to full fitness after his lengthy spell on the sidelines.
