Alan Martin is the latest player to go out on a month`s loan.

The Scottish under 19 goalkeeper has joined Barrow in the Blue Square Premiership.

Martin joined Leeds from Motherwell at the start of the 2007/08 season but has found breaking into the first team very hard to come by.

The shot stopper is very highly regarded at Elland Road and signed an improved contract at the start of the season.

He was an unused substitute at Swindon recently but with Casper Ankergren back to full fitness and David Lucas playing well it`s highly unlikely that he will get close to first team action.

Leeds have taken the opportunity for him to gain some much needed first team experience and he joins Ross Wilkinson, Scott Gardner, Ollie Hotchkiss, Chris Ovington and Nathan Cartman who are all currently on loan to non League sides.
