Leeds United goalkeeper Alan Martin says he is considering a move away from Elland Road.

The goalkeeper is still to make his debut for Leeds since joining in the summer of 2007.

The Scottish under 19 international is currently on loan at Blue Square Conference side Barrow, with the deal coming to an end on January 3rd.

Martin speaking on nwemail.co.uk said, “January is a really big month for me. Obviously, I spoke to Leeds and they said they`d consider telling me in the middle of January if I was getting a new deal or not.
“Hopefully I will get a new deal. If not, then I will have to look elsewhere, and I can obviously sign a pre-contract in January with another club because I`ll have only six months left at Leeds.
“My main priority is to get a new deal at Leeds.
“Obviously if I`m not playing well or not playing games then it`s obviously not going to be good news, but hopefully I can get back playing in some games before my loan is up, catch the eye and hopefully be offered a new deal in January.
“If not, hopefully there will be a few other teams looking at me as well.”

Martin spent the 2008/09 season on loan at Barrow and also had a short spell on loan at League Two side Accrington Stanley last season.

The 21 year old started the season as Barrow number one but he hasn`t featured since the beginning of October when he played in the 2-1 home defeat to Luton.
