Rui Marques returns to Leeds action this evening in their pre season game at Grimsby Town.

With Leeds without Richard Naylor for the start of the season it looks like a straight race between Marques, Paul Huntington and Lubo Michalik for the two central defensive positions when Leeds line up against Exeter City on the opening day of the season.

With Leeds playing two games this evening they are taking sixteen players to each game at Grimsby and Wealdstone.

The only first team players still missing are Richard Naylor who will miss the start of the season after back surgery, Neil Kilkenny is struggling with an ankle injury picked up in training and new signing Jason Crowe picked up an injury during the Shelbourne game.

Both Kilkenny and Crowe are likely to be back towards the end of the week and could be involved in the weekend friendly at Elland Road with Blackburn Rovers.

With their now just over two weeks till the season starts boss Simon Grayson is not willing to take any chances with his squad.
