Leeds United boss Simon Grayson and Chairman Ken Bates are less than happy with the agent of Cardiff City`s Ross McCormack after he told Sky Sports that a deal had been agreed between the two clubs.

Leeds admitted on their official website yesterday that the two clubs had agreed a deal and that it now all hinged on McCormack passing a medical and agreeing personal terms at Elland Road.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, I`m rather annoyed that the agent told Sky because it`s not how we do business.”

Since the arrival of Simon Grayson at Elland Road, the manager as usually managed to surprise everyone when announcing a new signing at the club.

Leeds have been continuously linked with players during the summer and despite the arrival of nine new players, only one or two have actually been linked with the club before the official announcement.

Hull City have also been linked with the Cardiff City striker and maybe it`s just a case of the agent trying to get the player and himself a better deal out of the transfer.

Grayson is hoping to complete a deal later this week, once he`s had chance to meet with the player and his agent, but admits it`s not yet a done deal, “We do business then we announce it because sometimes things don`t work out for whatever reason.”

Leeds are also now being linked with fellow Cardiff City midfield player Gavin Rae, when asked Ken Bates would not confirm or deny the rumour but did admit that the club were looking to bring in another midfielder to Elland Road.

With the transfer window closing in just six days time, it looks like being a busy time for Simon Grayson as he looks to further strengthen his squad.
