Leeds United defender Ben Parker looks set for scans on the calf injury he suffered against MK Dons recently.

The defender has been desperately unlucky with injuries this season making only four appearances.

Parker established himself in the side under Simon Grayson during the second half of last season helping the club reach the end of season play offs.

His form earned him a new contract taking him up to the end of the 2011/12 season.

The 22 year old was looking forward to a full season in the left back position for Leeds, this was to be cut short on the opening day of the season when he lasted less than half an hour, before being withdrawn with an hamstring injury.

Parker returned to training in September but this was to be short lived when he required surgery on a hip injury, which would rule him out until the New Year.

The Yorkshire born defender suffered further setbacks during his rehabilitation, before finally making his comeback as a second half substitute at the start of April against Swindon.

Parker made his first start since the opening day of the season in Leeds last home fixture against MK Dons.

All was looking good with Parker putting in a shift before a calf injury forced him off the pitch just short of the hour mark.

The tearful Parker was clearly upset when leaving the pitch and frustrated with this latest setback.

After a season full of turmoil, Parker will be hoping that this latest setback will have cleared in time for him to return for pre season training in early July.
