Leeds United midfielder Max Gradel once again showed that he`s got a short fuse on the football pitch when he was lucky to get away with just a yellow card at Reading on Saturday.

Gradel seemed to have learned from his mistake on the last day of last season when he was shown a straight red card against Bristol Rovers for retaliating.

After missing the first four games of this season through suspension following that sending off, Gradel has settled into the Leeds side and seemed to have got his hanger under control.

That was until Saturday at Reading when he kicked out at their defender Andy Griffin following a strong but fair challenge from the left back.

In the melee that followed, Gradel once again had to be restrained (similar to the Bristol game) by team mates as a number of players from both sides got involved.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson wasn`t that impressed with Gradel reaction when he said, ‘It wasn`t the cleverest of things to do and Max has to learn from what happened to him in the final game of last season. The referee decided what he had to do and gave them a yellow card.”

The incident seemed to knock Gradel out of his stride, as he looked the best attacking threat for Leeds in a very disappointing first half.

The midfielder was eventually substituted in the 76th minute as Grayson looked to freshen things up.

His sending off last season came very close to wrecking Leeds season, would Grayson give him anymore chances if it happened again?
