We take a look at how our striker Davide Somma did on his debut for Lincoln City in League Two.

The 24 year old signed for Lincoln on Friday on a one-month loan deal.

Somma has already enjoyed a loan spell away from Elland Road this season when he made three appearances for League Two side Chesterfield earlier in the season before injury forced an early return to Leeds.

With first team chances limited at Elland Road the loan spell with Lincoln will surely help him get more accustomed to English football.

The South African striker went straight into the Imps team for their game on Saturday against Crewe at Sincil Bank and he made a dream debut when he scored within the first minute of the second half.

Somma picked up the ball just inside the Crewe half; he closed in on goal before unleashing a superb right foot strike from 20 yards out to give the keeper no chance.

Somma is also likely to learn quite a lot working with former Blackburn and England striker Chris Sutton who is now the manager at Lincoln during his loan period.

He completed the full 90 minutes and he will surely get better as his fitness improves with match practice during his time at Lincoln.

The striker faces tough opposition next week when Lincoln travel to table toppers Rochdale.
