Simon Grayson will lose a number of on loan players this week after their loan periods at the club come to an end.
Four players could return to their parent clubs in the next week, unless Simon Grayson renegotiates their loan arrangements or signs them full time when the transfer window re opens at the end of this week.
Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said “We`re ongoing with one or two players and one or two will definitely go back, you thank them for what they have done. We`re still in discussions about one or two others.”
Sam Vokes who joined in October, may return to Wolves on January 1st. The striker as scored one goal in ten starts and hasn`t featured in December.
Max Gradel has become a huge fans favourite since also joining in October. He`s mainly been used as a substitute but has made a huge impact in a number of these games.
He`s chipped in with three goals, the most important an 89th minute winner against Leyton Orient.
Tony Capaldi is still eligible for the FA Cup tie at Manchester United on Sunday before his loan finishes on the 4th January.
Capaldi has expressed a desire to stay at the club and Cardiff City have said that they would not stand in his way.
The Irish international defender has not started a game since the Huddersfield game at the start of December and not featured since coming on as a substitute in the FA Cup replay win over Kettering.
Hogan Ephraim end his loan on January 1st from QPR, he`s made just the two starts against Oldham in the league and Accrington in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy when he scored his only goal for the club.
Goalkeeper David Martin extended his loan spell till the end of January from Liverpool last week and he is acting as cover for Casper Ankergren whilst Shane Higgs struggles to overcome his thigh strain.
Leeds fans will be interested to see the developments over the month of January as the club will be looking to also offload some full time players as well as strengthen the squad.
